“Alright, I’ll inform my dad about your appointment tonight. I won’t intrude further.”
“Thank you,” Matthew replied politely.
After Leslie left, Stella’s gaze lingered on Matthew.
“Are you sure you’re okay? Do you think we should go to the hospital for a check-up?”
Matthew tenderly caressed her cheek as a soft smile spread across his face.
“I’m really okay; don’t worry.”
Stella’s eyes brimmed with tears as she hugged him tightly.
“I missed you so much,” she whispered.
Surprise flickered in Matthew’s eyes, but he quickly enveloped her in a warm embrace.
“I’ve missed you too. I’m sorry for earlier. I should have approached the situation more calmly, rather than arguing…”
“Stop it. It was all my fault,” Stella interjected, her voice muffled against his chest.
“I was the one who misunderstood.”

Matthew and Stella arranged for Mateo to visit Prosper Bay after dinner.
